UNDIE-COVER - Pastor Caught In Women’s Thong And Blonde Wig Claims He Was 'Working Undercover'
A bishop who was caught on video dressed in women's thong and a blonde wig while walking dark city streets has claimed it was part of an "undercover" work.
Pastor Eduardo Costa became the centre of an online storm after videos emerged of him walking through the streets of Goiania, Brazil, in women’s underwear.
The footage was first shared on 11th August and shows the 58-year-old dressed in a black thong strolling around a parking lot next to a bar.
Another scene shows him wearing blue women’s underwear and a wig as he walks past parked cars.
Costa later said he had put on the peculiar "disguise" while carrying out a "personal investigation" to locate an address for serving a summons.
He claimed the video was secretly filmed and that he was threatened with exposure if he did not pay by noon on 11th August. He, however, chose not to give in to the blackmail.
Costa, a bishop of an evangelical church, is also a gospel singer, a minister, and a law graduate. He has been married since 2010 and has two daughters.
He works as a judicial analyst at the Goias State Court of Justice, where he has served for 44 years.
Costa said his wife, missionary Valquiria Costa, was aware of the "investigation" but not all the details.
He has described the filming as an "attempted illegal harassment and misuse of image" but has not confirmed whether he has filed a police complaint.
