This is the terrifying moment a towering wall of slipping mud devastates a town following heavy rainfall, piling up soil onto the streets and nearly destroying homes.
The mudflow was recorded by panicked residents of Tyrnyauz, in Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Russia, as they watched it descended towards their houses and buildings on 31st July.
Around 370 people had to be evacuated and all major roads had to be temporarily closed down.
According to officials, the event was preceded by a storm accompanied by heavy rainfall.
It came only hours after a 8.8 earthquake shook the country, followed by the eruption of the Klyuchevskoy volcano in Russia's far east.
Luckily, there were no injuries and no serious damage caused to residential buildings.
Authorities in Tyrnyauz are now working to clear the mud and assess the damage it caused to the town infrastructure, as well as water and electrical supply systems.
