This footage shows a TikToker waving a flag right next to some train tracks when a locomotive suddenly shoots past and hits him, disappearing him from the shot in the blink of an eye.
The fatal incident took place in Teken Hamlet, in Karanganyar, in Central Java, in Indonesia, on the evening of 26th July, when 21-year-old Miza Gani Maulana Firdaus carried out the ill-fated stunt while being filmed by a 19-year-old friend named Nanang.
The short clip shows the victim apparently walking along the tracks while waving a flag when the locomotive suddenly shoots past while sounding its horn and hits him.
He is instantly swept out of view, with the person filming panning downwards with the camera in apparent disbelief.
An object, apparently a shoe, falls next to the tracks as the camera pans down, showing an unidentified liquid running into a gutter.
Local media reports said that the Jayakarta Train (KA) that hit the man was travelling from Surabaya Gubeng to Pasar Senen, Jakarta, and that he died instantly.
Indonesian Railways stated that the train driver followed safety procedures, including sounding his horn.
Similar accidents are common in Indonesia, with local reports saying that many young people view railways as cool photo spots or even gathering places, ignoring their potential dangers.
