This is the moment an out-of-control van hurtling down a busy street knocks down a pedestrian and smashes into a Lebanese army SUV, causing it to flip over onto its roof.

The crash that left three others injured happened in the city of Bshamun in Lebanon on 6th August.

Video footage shows the army vehicle travelling along a main road when the van approaches from the opposite direction and ploughs into it at high speed, causing a violent somersault.

The impact left both vehicles badly damaged and debris scattered across the road.

Local media reported that the van driver died at the scene and that three people were injured in the collision.
