This is the moment a Moscow metro security guard manages to restrain a violent attacker even after being stabbed in the neck and arm.
The incident took place at the CSKA metro station in Moscow, Russia, at around 2am on Tuesday, 5th August.
The guard approached a man who had been sleeping on a bench before being suddenly attacked with an aerosol spray and a knife.
Despite suffering serious cuts, CCTV footage shows the guard grappling with the man and managing to restrain him.
Police confirmed that the suspect was a previously convicted 39-year-old man who was swiftly detained by patrol officers at the scene.
The injured security guard received emergency medical care and his condition is stable, with authorities saying his life is not in danger.
