A superfit actress became the centre of controversy when she joined the viral 'Nicki Minaj challenge' by replicating her stiletto pose while balancing on one leg atop a dumbbell and doing bicep curls.
Colombian TV star Johanna Fadul shared the video of her take on the popular online trend with her 6.5 million Instagram followers on 12th August.
In the clip, the 39-year-old actress and model appears wearing a swimsuit and high stilettos while standing on a dumbbell.
She balances on one leg and performs strength exercises with both hands as the camera records her from the front.
Johanna captioned the footage with a promotional message telling fans that if they commented the word "Training" she would share her workout routine and diet plan with them via direct message.
The images quickly drew criticism from followers who voiced concerns about the risks involved in copying the dangerous viral challenge, which has already caused injuries for other participants.
Comments left on her post included: "What’s the need to do those risky and pointless trends?" and "Oh no, that exercise, the outfit, and the heels are totally unnecessary."
Other users warned that such practices could cause accidents, pointing to previous cases where social media participants had suffered fractures attempting the stunt.
The stiletto challenge began after Nicki Minaj posed in stilettos in her 2013 music video for "High School," and it has since gone viral on TikTok and Instagram.
Celebrities and influencers have copied the pose and added further difficulty by attempting it on unstable objects such as food containers and bottles.
Johanna, known for her roles in television productions like the telenovela 'Sin senos No Hay Paradiso' (Without Breasts There Is No Paradise), has often drawn attention for her outspoken personality and social media activity.
Her latest post continues to generate debate online, with hundreds of critical and supportive comments appearing beneath the video.
In another case linked to the same trend, Russian influencer Mariana Barutkina broke her spine after falling from her kitchen counter while trying the stunt in stilettos on a can of baby formula just eight weeks after giving birth to her son.
