This is the moment a rickshaw is flattened like a concertina between two buses in a horrifying crash that left five people seriously injured.
The incident happened in Chitradurga, in the Indian state of Karnataka, on 4th August.
CCTV footage captured the moment a speeding bus ploughed into the back of a slow-moving autorickshaw, shunting it into another bus that was travelling ahead.
The video shows the rickshaw being crushed in the impact and then the rear bus continuing to push forward two or three more times, even as bystanders shout and bang on the doors in a desperate attempt to stop the driver.
The rickshaw is almost unrecognisable after being sandwiched between the two large vehicles.
Local residents rushed to help and managed to pull the five injured people, including the autorickshaw driver, from the wreckage.
All were admitted to the government district hospital in Chitradurga with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Both buses involved have been seized by police, and a case has been registered at the city traffic police station.
Investigators have cited speeding and negligence as the likely causes of the crash.
