This is the moment an angry plane passenger hit two flight attendants several times and had to be restrained by other travellers after she was denied the use of a phone.
The incident happened during a Pobeda Airlines flight from Novosibirsk to Moscow, in Russia, operated by a Boeing 737, on the morning of 23rd August, according to reports from Russian media.
It reportedly began just seven minutes after takeoff, when the 39-year-old passenger sitting in seat 10A began to behave aggressively and frightened other travellers.
The crew tried to calm her down and handed her the rules of conduct on board. She crumpled up the document and hurled it at one stewardess's face.
When the red-haired woman later demanded a phone from staff and was refused, she attacked the senior flight attendant and another colleague.
Eyewitnesses said she struck them several times on the head.
Video from the plane shows her in the front lobby arguing with the crew members before lunging at them, hitting them on the head.
Other passengers step in to help the crew and pull the offender away. She was tied up and held until the plane landed in Moscow.
At Sheremetyevo Airport, the woman was met by a rapid response team and removed from the flight.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed the incident and said a protocol had been drawn up against her for petty hooliganism.
Police are continuing to investigate.
