This is the moment a worker falls from a height of more than 15 feet while dismantling an air duct on a factory roof.
The incident happened in the Krasnogvardeisky District of Saint Petersburg, Russia, on 16th April 2025.
Video footage shows two men working together to remove the metal ducting on the roof when one of them steps over the edge as he is walking backwards and he plunges to the ground below.
Prosecutors said the man, a sanitary systems installer, suffered serious injuries that were classified as grievous bodily harm.
They approved an indictment against a 40-year-old workshop manager accused of breaching workplace safety regulations.
Investigators said the manager allowed the victim to carry out hazardous work at height even though it was not part of his duties.
They said the victim had not undergone the required training or safety briefing.
The manager also failed to check the site of the work and did not ensure that protective barriers were in place.
The criminal case has been sent to the Krasnogvardeisky District Court for trial.
