This footage purports to show how Russian drone operators destroyed Ukrainian military vehicles in a precision strike on a supply route on the frontlines.
The footage was recorded in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Ukraine, on Friday, 17th October.
The video appears to show a Russian drone taking off, tracking its target and honing in on it before the footage cuts as it hits it. The images also appear to show a number of other targets being hit.
The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation said in a statement: “Operators of strike drones from the ‘Vostok’ group of forces identified routes for the transfer of enemy manpower and equipment in wooded areas near the settlement of Uspenivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. After clarifying the coordinates, a decision was made for an immediate fire strike.”
It added: “As a result of the targeted strikes, the drone crews destroyed several pick-up trucks with nationalist manpower, disrupting an attempt at rotation on the line of contact. A tank and a vehicle towing a howitzer together with its crew were also destroyed — the strike was carried out by a Lancet loitering munition.”
