This footage shows a child trying to get on a moving running machine and being sent flying back when he is unable to keep pace with the fast-moving conveyor belt.
The incident took place in Shanxi, China, with the video shared on Douyin, which is what TikTok is called in China, on 20th July.
The footage shows the boy trying to lower himself onto the moving conveyor belt but it is going too fast and he is sent flying backwards.
The other gym goers look around before returning to their own workouts as the boy picks himself up and prepares to continue as the footage ends.
Local media reports said that the boy, who has not been named, was not thought to have been seriously injured in the incident.
