This is the catwalk of shame moment a shoplifting fashion influencer is led away by the police while trying to hide her identity with her designer handbag over her head.
Social media star Priscila Ruas Pedreira was reportedly caught red-handed stealing from the high-end store at the Paseo Shopping Centre in an upmarket neighbourhood in the city of Salvador, in the Brazilian state of Bahia, on Tuesday, 29th July.
Bizarre video footage of her arrest shows Pedreira being walked from the shop with what appears to be a GBP 1,430 Louis Vuitton 'Neverfull' Damier tote over her head.
Beside her, a police officer holds the bag's contents in one hand and guides her through a jeering crowd with the other.
Pedreira, wearing shorts, an inside-out sleeveless top and chic yellow sliders, shuffles cautiously around as the officer leads her towards the exit.
The 35-year-old woman, known to her followers as Pri Ruas, frequently flaunts her designer lifestyle in her posts, posing in labels like Prada and Vuitton.
It later emerged in local media reports that Pedreira had been named as a suspect in thefts from other luxury stores in another shopping centre earlier this year.
She previously studied law and worked in the pharmaceutical industry before taking time off for depression and turning to social media performances.
She was remanded in custody, although it was unclear at the time of writing if she had been formally charged. It is unclear what she allegedly tried to steal.
