This footage shows a man running down a side street and out into a road as he flees from police when he is suddenly hit by one car and run over by another.

The instant karma event for the fleeing crook took place in the Huseyingazi neighbourhood, in the Mamak district of Ankara, in Turkey, on 28th July.

CCTV footage of the scene shows the suspect, named only as M. B., running out of the side street.

He is hit by the first car with such force that it smashes its windscreen and dents its roof.

And no sooner has he hit the ground than another car appears in the shot and appears to run him over.

Local media reports said that M. B., who has 14 prior convictions, was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

He had reportedly fled the police after officers were sent to arrest him on unspecified drug charges.

The driver who hit M. B., named only as C. A., was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
