This is the moment an elderly woman falls out of a moving bus after crashing into the door as she goes to take a vacant seat pointed out to her by the bus conductor.
The incident happened in Thrissur, in the Indian state of Kerala, on Monday, 11th August, and was captured on CCTV.
The footage shows the 74-year-old boarding the bus and being directed towards an empty seat further inside by the conductor, who is wearing the standard khaki uniform.
As she steps forward, he pulls the door shut behind her, but it does not appear to close securely.
When the driver applies the brakes to slow the bus, she loses her balance and crashes into the door.
It swings open on impact, and she falls out onto the road.
The conductor and passengers seated in the front row reach out to grab her, but they are unable to stop her from falling.
The driver stopped the bus, and the conductor climbed out immediately to help.
She was rushed to hospital, but doctors pronounced her dead shortly after arrival.
