A fitness muse and adult star who sold a pair of sweaty workout socks for nearly GBP 700 says she has since turned it into a successful business, now earning half her monthly income from similar fetish requests.
Brazilian influencer Kellyta Tharsys revealed the unusual sale on 8th August and said she has been inundated with sock orders ever since.
She explained that the first buyer contacted her after watching a workout video and asked for the exact socks she wore for squats, offering to pay BRL 5,000 (GBP 680).
She said: "It was an unusual request, but the money transfer went through right away. The guy said the smell was 'exciting'."
After she posted about the sale online, dozens of similar requests followed.
Kellyta said: "Now I separate socks by workout. There are leg socks, hamstring socks, glute socks. They are very specific.
"I don’t judge, but they smell like squats and sweat."
Although she is known for her risqué content, Kellyta admitted she never expected socks to be more profitable than nude photos.
She said: "I never thought sweaty socks would earn more than photos without clothes.
"I think I earn more than a sock brand."
She added that she does not have foot odour but now invests in a regular foot-care routine, visiting a podiatrist every two weeks, having a weekly spa session, and using special talcum powders.
Beyond socks, Kellyta sells other intimate content, including racy videos and nude photos, but says sweaty socks now bring in about BRL 60,000 (GBP 8,200) a month, with half of that from the sock sales alone.
