This is the moment a pet dog fights a cobra after it slithered into the yard of a family home.
The incident happened in Ayodhya, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday morning, 19th August.
CCTV footage shows the snake emerging from a flower bed as the dog immediately charges at it.
The dog grabs the snake in its mouth, shakes it violently, and throws it to the ground before biting it repeatedly.
The fight lasts less than two minutes and ends with the snake lying motionless on the ground.
Neighbours can be seen watching from a distance as the dog continues attacking until the cobra is dead.
The family remain inside the house while the animal keeps the snake from moving closer.
Local reports said no one in the household was harmed.
Earlier in June, a similar incident in Meerut ended with a pet dog dying after killing a snake that had entered a home and approached a sleeping child.
