This is the shocking moment a lorry packed with rubble drives through a red light at a railway crossing and is smashed into by a train travelling at full speed.
The crash happened in Bogdanovich, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia, on the Trans-Siberian Railway on 6th August.
CCTV footage shows the FAW truck driving slowly onto the tracks and stopping before the approaching train, pulling tank cars, crashes into it and sends rubble and debris flying across the crossing.
The tipper-style truck loses much of its load on impact, but remains largely intact and is later seen being examined by police with visible damage to its side.
The 33-year-old driver, who had previously lost his licence for drink-driving, was reportedly unhurt, but the assistant driver of the electric locomotive, aged 43, suffered a broken leg and was taken to hospital.
The Sverdlovsk State Traffic Safety Inspectorate said the man had 15 years of driving experience but was not legally permitted to drive at the time of the crash.
There was no barrier at the crossing, and the man reportedly ignored the red light warning before crossing.
He is now facing proceedings for violating traffic rules resulting in injury, ignoring rules at a railway crossing, and driving while disqualified.
