This is the moment a runaway heifer bursts into a vending machine store during a bull run festival and causes panic among residents and visitors.
The incident took place in Melida, Navarre, Spain, on Saturday, 23rd August.
In smaller towns across Spain, heifers are often used in local fiestas instead of full-grown bulls because they are lighter, less dangerous, and more affordable, though still capable of sparking chaos when they escape.
Video shows the animal charging into a store that sold soft drinks and sweets after it slipped through a gap in the fences.
People scream and run as others try to block the heifer with tables and chairs from a nearby bar terrace.
One resident is seen on the ground as the animal runs over him, knocking over furniture but not causing injury.
The heifer then returns to the crowd and makes another attempt to escape.
A man identified as local resident Carlos Perez later jumped on the animal and managed to restrain it.
Other neighbours joined in and were able to guide the heifer back to the bullfighting route.
The Melida City Council later praised the residents for their intervention and confirmed that no one was injured.
