This is the moment a friendly deer suddenly attacks a man riding a motorbike who had stopped to pet it in a sudden roadside encounter.
The incident happened in Shanghai, China, and the footage was shared on Douyin – the Chinese version of TikTok – on 23rd July.
In the video, the man is seated on his motorbike on the roadside as the deer walks up to him.
Without warning, the animal rears up and pushes its hooves against his chest.
The man tries to shield himself as the deer strikes at him repeatedly.
It then steps back briefly before lunging at him again.
The rider holds on to the bike as the deer continues to shove him.
The clip ends with the deer still standing in front of the man, blocking his way.
There is no information about whether the man was injured in the encounter, but he was wearing a helmet.
