A female MasterChef celebrity who later switched to OnlyFans after struggling to build a successful career as a traditional influencer has been tragically killed in a car accident.

Yanin Rocio Campos Ruiz, 38, who rose to fame in 2018 by placing sixth in the fourth season of MasterChef Mexico, crashed in the city of Chihuahua, Mexico, on 2nd August.

She was driving a black GMC Terrain when it collided with a parked white Ford Econoline van, leaving her with serious injuries.

She was rushed to Christus Muguerza del Parque Hospital, where she remained in intensive care until she died from her injuries on 4th August.

Authorities are investigating whether excessive speed or driver distraction played a role in the crash.

After her initial success on reality television, Campos struggled to monetise her social media presence on mainstream platforms and instead launched a paid subscription channel on OnlyFans.

In addition to her online work, Campos was also a qualified nurse and had worked in the healthcare sector in her hometown.

Her family confirmed the death and requested privacy.
