This is the moment a swan charges across a pond at high speed to chase a semi-naked bather out of the water.
The footage was filmed by a bystander at the Big Patriarch's Pond in central Moscow, Russia, on 2nd June.
The video shows a man stripped down to his underwear and in the pond, where the bird was swimming.
A white swan spots the intruder from the far side of the water and powers across the surface to confront him.
The bird pecks the man, who scrambled back onto the embankment, while the swan lingers close by to make sure he has got the message.
Onlookers gathered at the pond reportedly sided with the bird, with several remarking that it had proved smarter than the swimmer.
According to local accounts, the man and a companion beside him may have been searching for something on the pond's bottom.
Denis, an eyewitness, said: "Perhaps alcohol played its part.
"I am genuinely shocked that the swan swam over there at such speed, like a motorboat.
"It was defending its home."
The bystander who recorded the scene narrated the confrontation as it unfolded.
He said: "Now the swan will chase him off its territory! Whoa! A battle, man or swan, who will win?"
He added at the end: "The swan patrol has thrown him out. It turns out swans are stronger than people."
