Two Russian influencers were arrested after they filmed a video in front of a burning oil depot during a drone attack in Sochi and shared the clip on social media.

The incident took place after a Ukrainian drone strike sparked a major fire at a Rosneft-Kubannefteprodukt facility on 3rd August.

In the video, which quickly went viral, 21-year-old Dasha Vladimirova and 19-year-old Karina Evgenieva can be seen lip-syncing to the song "Raspberry Dawn" by rapper Miyagi while standing with an unidentified man in front of the blazing depot.

The trio were detained by police after officials launched a search and published images from the video.

A statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Krasnodar Territory said the individuals had been charged under Article 20.6.1 of the Administrative Code for failing to comply with emergency conduct regulations.

This carries a potential fine of up to RUB 30,000 (GBP 280).

The detainees later apologised saying: "We did not post the video with the intention of insulting or offending anyone.

“We are ready to be punished under the laws of the Russian Federation.”

Authorities confirmed that the fire had been caused by a nighttime drone strike, with debris hitting an oil tanker. Local officials said 90 firefighters were involved in bringing the blaze under control.
