This is the moment a robber armed with a toy gun freezes in terror when he suddenly finds himself staring down the barrel of a real one during a botched jewellery heist.
The attempted robbery happened in Karabuk, Turkey, in the Kartaltepe neighbourhood at around 11:30am on 19th August.
Security camera footage shows the suspect, named as 48-year-old M.G., entering the jewellery store wearing gloves and a mask and holding a gun which in reality could only fire plastic beads.
He hands over a bag and orders the clerk to fill it with gold.
As the clerk begins emptying the till into the bag, another man rushes into the store holding what appears to be a real gun.
The suspect instantly ducks behind the counter when he realises he is facing a genuine weapon.
He is then overpowered by the same man who had been putting money into the bag.
Other shop employees and local residents rush in to help restrain the suspect until police arrive.
Officers took M.G. into custody after receiving a tip-off.
Investigators later confirmed the gun M.G. used was a toy that fired beads.
Police say the investigation is continuing.
