This is the moment a stray bull charged at a 70-year-old man and hurled him into the air leaving him with head wounds and broken bones.
The attack happened in Fazilka, in the northern Indian state of Punjab, on Sunday, 10th August.
CCTV footage shows the bull standing in a narrow lane before it suddenly charges at the pensioner.
It lifts him high into the air, sending him crashing onto a pile of bricks beside a house.
Witnesses say he was thrown up to 12 feet before hitting the ground.
The victim, named as Ramraj, suffered deep head wounds that required three to four stitches.
He also sustained fractures to one arm and one leg.
He is receiving treatment at a private hospital.
His daughter said he had been returning from the market with flowers for his regular Monday visit to a Shivling — a symbolic representation of the Hindu god Shiva, often worshipped by pouring water or offering flowers over it — when the bull attacked.
She told local media the bull struck him with such force that he was flung into the air and landed on the bricks, causing the serious injuries.
