This is the moment a famous pop singer falls off stage while performing mid-song before he is escorted by staff to get medical aid while in apparent agony.
The accident happened during a concert by Taiwanese singer Aska Yang in Xining, Qinghai province, China, on Saturday, 23rd August.
In video clips shared on social media, the 47-year-old singer can be seen walking sideways across the T-shaped stage as he sang his hit song "Over the Hills" before suddenly stepping into thin air and plummeting off the side.
He landed with a loud splat on his left side on top of planks below the stage.
Audience members gasped as Yang's singing stopped abruptly and he fell sideways to the ground.
Footage shows him lying in pain as staff rush to his aid.
He appeared unable to walk and crouched over while holding his side.
Staff supported him and supplied oxygen before he was escorted to an ambulance.
The concert was interrupted and he was taken to hospital.
Yang posted on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo at around 1am the following day to reassure fans that he was safe and fine.
He said medical staff and organisers took good care of him and added that he would be fine.
