A 28-year-old man tried to rob a bakery with a fake gun but was chased away by the owner with a broom.
The attempted robbery happened in Curitiba, Brazil, on Sunday 24th August.
Security camera footage shows the man entering the bakery at around 6:50am with his face covered by a hood.
He looks around, then pretends to cock the fake gun while arguing with an employee.
The footage shows the owner, identified as Bernadete Ghidini, appearing with a broom in her hand.
She strikes the man with the broom and, together with an employee, pushes him towards the exit.
The man attempts to flee but employees restrain him until police arrive.
According to the Civil Police, he stole around BRL 60 (GBP 8.2) before being stopped.
The money was recovered and the suspect was taken to the police station before being sent to the penitentiary system, where he remains at the disposal of the Justice Department.
