This is the moment a massive bolt of lightning blows a tree to pieces just as a woman is walking past with her brolly.
The incident took place in Shaoyang, in Hunan Province, in China, on 20th July.
The video, recorded by a CCTV camera, shows the woman walking in the background with her umbrella out as rain pummels the area.
All of a sudden, just as she draws level with the tree, a huge bolt of lightning hits it and it explodes into hundreds of pieces as its massive branches come crashing down.
A couple of seconds later, a huge crack of thunder can be heard ripping through the sky as a result of the lightning bolt hitting the tree.
No injuries were reported.
Experts recommend avoiding seeking shelter under trees during thunderstorms, as they can be hit and cause the person sheltering under them to be electrocuted as well.
