This is the shocking moment a man is robbed as he lay dying outside his home after suffering from a heart attack.
The incident happened in Curitiba, Brazil, on the night of 30th July, and the footage was released on 5th August.
Security camera footage shows the victim collapsed onto the pavement as a young man approaches, bends down, and removes the phone from his hand before walking away without offering help or calling for assistance.
As the man lies motionless on the ground, his dog can be seen barking desperately from behind the garden fence, unable to reach its owner or alert those inside the house.
According to police, the victim had just returned from a barbecue with friends when he suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and fell in front of his home. Relatives were inside the house at the time and were not immediately aware of what had happened.
Police say the suspect is being sought for theft and failure to render assistance. He reportedly took the phone and disappeared into the next block before emergency help could arrive.
The Parana Civil Police (PCPR) have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to report anonymously.
