This is the moment a motorcyclist and their bike go skidding down the road in a shower of sparks after hitting a road bump.

The accident happened near the Tagansky Tunnel in Moscow, Russia, on the evening of 6th August.

Dashcam footage shows the motorcycle travelling in the middle lane before suddenly striking the raised bump and losing control.

The rider is thrown off as the bike flips onto its side, and both slide across the tarmac in the same direction of travel.

Sparks fly from the machine as it scrapes along the road surface.

The rider rolls over several times before coming to a stop, with other vehicles slowing down nearby.

According to the person who filmed the footage, the motorcyclists had been filtering through traffic inside the tunnel before emerging onto the open road.
