This shocking video footage shows a lorry loaded with tulip seeds ploughing into a toll machine before overturning and bursting into flames with the driver trapped in the cabin.

The crash happened on the A2 motorway in Tarnawa Rzepinska, in the Lubusz Voivodeship, Poland, shortly before 11pm on Saturday, 23rd August.

Video shows the lorry smashing into the ticket machine at speed. The lorry tips onto its side and bursts into flames as smoke rises into the night sky.

Police said the driver, whose identity has not yet been confirmed, died at the scene.

Firefighters said there were no other casualties.

The cause of the crash is not yet known.

The A2 traffic management centre said work is continuing to clear the wreckage and the aftermath of the fire.

Traffic towards Swiecko is moving without disruption.

Traffic towards Poznan resumed at 11am on Sunday.
