HEAVY METAL - Cement Mixer Collides With Car Transporter That Burst Into Flames

This is the moment a concrete mixer veered into oncoming traffic and smashed head-on into a car transporter before it burst into flames.

The crash happened on the Chita–Khabarovsk highway near the village of Klyuchevoye in the Jewish Autonomous Oblast, a federal region in Russia’s Far East and bordering China, on Wednesday, 13th August.

Dash cam footage shows the mixer suddenly swerving across the centre line and colliding with the transporter’s left side.

The impact sparks an instant fire that engulfs the transporter’s cabin.

The lorry then hits a guardrail and a passing passenger car before coming to a stop.

The flames spread rapidly to the transporter's cargo of eight foreign-made vehicles.

By the time firefighters arrived, all of them had been destroyed.

Both drivers were injured, but their lives were not in danger.

The driver of the mixer suffered multiple fractures and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The Prosecutor’s Office said it was monitoring the investigation into the cause of the crash.

The Jewish Autonomous Oblast was established in the Soviet era as a designated homeland for Jews.
