A TV reporter was robbed of her phone by a man on a bicycle as she stood outside a prison preparing to go live on air.
The crime happened in front of the Pinheiros Provisional Detention Centre IV in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Tuesday morning, 19th August.
Video of the incident shows Record TV journalist Beatriz Casadei, who was about to appear on the morning news programme Balanco Geral, standing in position outside the prison gates.
As she holds her phone, the cyclist suddenly rides up, stretches out his arm, and rips it from her grasp before speeding away.
The reporter reels back in shock but is left unhurt.
Beatriz had been waiting for her cue to go live when the thief struck.
Afterwards, she went to a police station to register the theft and later returned to work.
Footage of the robbery has been widely shared on social media, showing how quickly the assailant acted.
