This is the moment a driver is thrown from his car after losing control while illegally undertaking on a rural highway.
The crash happened on the Torzhok–Ostashkov highway in the Tver region of Russia at around 9am on 6th August.
Footage released by the State Traffic Inspectorate shows the Renault Duster pulling onto the dirt at the side of the road to pass a car stopped to turn left.
It then loses control, veers into the oncoming lane, and slams head-on into a Chevrolet Cruze.
The impact is so violent that the Renault’s 35-year-old driver is ejected from the vehicle and lands on the road.
He died at the scene from his injuries.
The Chevrolet’s 28-year-old driver and 25-year-old passenger were both injured and taken to the district hospital with injuries of varying severity.
Local authorities have confirmed an investigation is ongoing.
