This is the moment an air-conditioning repair worker survives after he crashed down from a second-floor balcony and landed on tomato plants that were completely squashed when he hit them.
The accident happened in Shanghai, China’s largest city, and was shared on Weibo - the Chinese version of X, on 29th May.
Footage shows rows of tomato plants growing in pots and under a small garden frame outside the building.
Seconds later, the repair worker suddenly drops from above and lands directly on top of the plants.
The impact smashes the pot beneath him and crushes the tomato seedlings as the small garden structure gives way.
Local media reported that the worker had been repairing an air-conditioning unit on the second floor when he accidentally fell.
He landed on a tomato shelter on the first floor, which helped cushion the impact.
The repair worker was not injured, according to reports, but was left frightened by the fall.
The garden owner said the tomato seedlings she had worked hard to grow had all been crushed.
But she said saving a life mattered far more than losing property.
She also reminded people working at height to make sure they take proper safety precautions.
