DASHING CAM - Elderly Pedestrian Almost Hit As Car Speeds Through Crossing

This is the moment an elderly woman narrowly escapes being hit by a speeding car as she walks across a zebra crossing.

The near miss took place in Izhevsk, the capital of the Udmurt Republic, in western Russia, on Thursday, 17th July.

Dashcam footage from a vehicle shows the woman stepping into the crossing from the left of frame as a silver car suddenly appears speeding toward her from the right.

The vehicle fails to slow down or stop, swerving only slightly to the right and narrowly avoiding the pedestrian by a matter of inches before continuing down the road at speed.

The woman appears momentarily stunned, taking a step back as the car flashes past and then completing her journey to the other side.
