This is the moment a man screams in terror and a snake flees after the two startled each other at the entrance of a shop.
The incident happened in Guangdong, China, on 31st July and was captured on the store's CCTV system.
The footage shows the man reclining on a chair and playing on his phone when a snake slithers into view near the doorway, prompting him to jump up and yell in fright. The snake instantly recoils and rapidly retreats from the shop.
The video ends as the snake is seen slipping back outside across the road and disappearing from view.
Speaking afterwards, the unnamed man said: “It was a natural reaction. I yelled and both of us were startled. I looked back at the surveillance video and was terrified.”
