This is the moment a car that stopped suddenly in the middle lane of a busy highway to change a tyre causes another driver to crash into the guardrail.
The accident happened on the M-10 highway near Tver, Russia, on 7th August.
Dashcam footage from a passing vehicle shows a moving car in the middle lane suddenly braking hard and losing control before veering sharply to the left when the driver spots the stopped vehicle ahead.
It smashes into the guardrail with considerable force as other motorists narrowly manage to dodge it.
The driver of the stopped car had apparently decided to try to change the wheel in the middle lane as there was no hard shoulder and only a narrow strip before the guardrail.
People are seen standing around the stationary vehicle in a way that suggests they may have been preparing to change a tyre.
According to preliminary reports, no one was injured in the crash.
Authorities have said that details of the incident are still being clarified.
