This is the moment a speeding Audi RS5 slams into a city bus leaving one man dead and six others injured.
The crash happened at the junction of Vazkresenie and Konstantin Velichkov boulevards in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia at 1:46am on 15th August.
Footage shows the Audi flying into the frame at enormous speed before it disappears inside the bus.
The bus crumples like paper as the car smashes through its side.
The driver of the car was identified as 21-year-old Viktor Iliev.
He had received his driving licence only two weeks earlier, on 1st August.
In that short time, Iliev had already been issued six traffic fines for minor violations such as missing vehicle equipment.
Hours before the fatal crash, he was stopped by police and fined BGN 50 (GBP 22) for not carrying a first aid kit and fire extinguisher.
He was driving the high-performance Audi RS5, borrowed from a friend.
Inside the car with him were two women and one man.
One passenger escaped with only minor injuries and is now being questioned by investigators.
Iliev himself was injured and is currently detained under guard in hospital.
The only passenger on the bus, a Syrian man, died instantly in the crash.
The bus driver, 66, was among six people injured in the impact.
Two victims were taken to intensive care at the Military Medical Academy.
Another woman was placed in intensive care at Pirogov Emergency Hospital, while a man was admitted to the Traumatology Clinic.
One of the injured was treated and released without hospitalisation.
Authorities confirmed that Iliev tested negative for alcohol and drugs.
They identified excessive speed as the main cause of the crash.
The Audi RS5 is powered by a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine producing around 444 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 3.9 seconds.
