This is the moment a car smashes through a railway barrier and then inexplicably comes to a halt on the tracks before being struck by a train.
The accident happened on the Granowo-Steszew route in Poland at 12:28pm on 18th August.
Footage shows the silver Opel breaking through the lowered barriers and stopping on the crossing before a train travelling from Poznan to Wolsztyn slams into the rear of the car, leaving it almost completely crushed.
The driver was injured and taken to hospital in Grodzisk Wielkopolski.
Rail services confirmed that the crossing equipment was functioning properly at the time of the incident.
Train service on the line was suspended for nearly two hours.
Train no. 77318 was cancelled on the Granowo-Steszew section, and passengers were taken by replacement bus service.
Two other trains were also cancelled, with buses serving as an alternative.
The train and a barrier pole were damaged in the collision.
After emergency crews completed their work, the damaged train reached Granowo station at 2:20pm.
Officials praised a woman who witnessed the crash and called the emergency services and then used details from a Yellow Sticker on the barrier operator, giving the individual crossing number so help could reach the site quickly.
